Italy (Palermo) was the fourth host country of SMILE project.
On February 12th,
Istituto Magistrale Statale "Regina Marguerita" of Palermo, welcomed the SMILE partners

Also, myths and legends of the Mediterranean sea were presented.
The Greek team presented their myths as comics. Watch this video:
The Italian team presented the myths of Scylla and Charybdis, th Colapesce legend, the legend of Arethusa and the myth of Ulysses
The Spanish team presented the myth of Hercules in the Iberian peninsula

Day1 from erasmussmile
The second day,
SMILE teams visited the Superintendency of the Italian Sea, whose task is to introduce the culture of the sea in Sicily through research, conservation and use of the underwater archeological patrimony. Related videos were presented, and students participated in workshops.

Early in the afternoon, students and teachers watched a show at Teatro Ditirammu.
Day2 from erasmussmile
The third day
began with a visit at the Aresnal of the Royal Navy. The students participated in workshops in collaboration with the Superintendency of the Italian Sea.
Later on, students and teachers visited the Dance school, where they participated in "poems and dance" workshops.
The fourth day
was dedicated to the "Arab- Norman Itinerary" which is declared UNESCO World Heritage Site. An itinerary that allows you to see Cefalu and Monreale (and Palermo of course...). SMILE students participated in a history workshop in Monreale Cathedral
The fifth and last day,
SMILE partners enjoyed Arab- Norman Palermo: visit of the Cattedrale, Quatro Canti, Piazza Pretoria and Capella Palatina.
